With the mercury rising it was time for some cool tunes to sooth the fevered brow. The show was also something of a personal triumph as I was finally able to play one of my favourite filthy songs.

His first volume of autobiography was called “Rum, Bum & Concertina” – a full and tawdry account of his time at sea as a young man. He wore amazing suits and was a wonderful rebel right up to his death in 2007. A true original.
