Music and politics

Perplexed by the headline.  Fear not.

There was a time when the political temperature was coaxed up on a regular basis by deeply felt emotions put to music.

The songs produced were of varying quality, but when they were good they tended to be very good.

The British magazine “New Statesman” is featuring it;s top 20 tunes with a political tinge and it includes one of OUR anthems, “Glad To Be Gay”.

Have a listen or look and then ponder the Ruddster or Big Tony warbling a folk song or two.

Rest assured that if they ever did the pair would join Phil Collins on the TFC banned list !
