We live in edgy, frighteningly contemporary times.
We can Tweet ourselves into oblivion, interface on Facebook until we are bruised black & blue in the fingertips and, hooly dooly, get a decent cup of coffee.
These are truly amazing times.
We are moving forward, we are the future, we bloody well are whatever we bloody well want to be!!
So why is it, that in 2010 a movie is being promoted with the advertising lines “Life’s A Beach” and “It’s A Wog’s Life” … suddenly it’s 1976 all over again. OMG
Am I being a bit po-faced ? I don’t think so. I reckon what this pearl of a film is showing us is that despite all the sparkling shininess of the technology and its digital fabulousness we are still a mob that’s treated like morons and respond accordingly. Or am I just a movie snob ??!!
