Broadcast suggestions from Andy “Wireless” Bell

I like sharing, so here’s the first of a series of bits and pieces from around the broadcast world.

Some of these programs and items are only available for a week or so (the BBC iPlayer ones in particular)

So don’t delay, you could miss something remarkable.

The friend in the corner” on BBC Radio 7 is a feature on radio history.  The latest episode is from 1962 and features an experimental stereophonic broadcast which is something of a hoot.

The USA’s NPR has a remarkable coming out story.

While over the 49th parallel, the CBC hosts a remarkable interview program called “Q” which has recently featured Elton John, Stephen Sondheim and Australia’s Tony Sheldon.
