Posted & hosted by Tim “Dasher” Harrison & Andy “Prancer” Bell

Just two TFCs to go until Christmas Day and the tinsel is out already.   Better than tinea.

Anyhow, the meat in the yuletide sandwich from the good folks at the Full Catastrophe  (operated by Northern Tasmanian  Pantechnicon & Penguin Hire Pty Ltd) will be the broadcast of Carols By Queerlight on December 11th.

‘Tis the season and we will be extra jolly.

Do Anything – Natural Selection

One Life To Live – Danny Kaye

A song from the musical “Lady In The Dark” which dealt, among other things, with psychoanalysis.  Danny Kaye was in that show, but didn’t sing this song –  Gertrude Lawrence did.  BTW Danny Kaye was subject to many rumours that he was, at the very least, bi-sexual.

Carnifal – Mari Griffiths

A Caribbean song sung in Welsh.  And your question is…..  Actually one of the most notorious pirates who sailed the sea around the Carribean was a Welshman called Barti Ddu AKA Black Bart.  Strange but true.

Walk – Burning Spear

A Caribbean song in English by a Jamaican and a living legend roots reggae singer and musician.

Answer Me – Frankie Laine

Smelly Cat, Sm-elly Cat – E.G. Daily

Baby Love – The Supremes

Attention Must Be Paid – Instrumentals

Big House Blues – Ren & Stimpy

The theme from the incredibly bad taste and wonderful cartoon series “Ren & Stimpy”

Undecided – Dave Brubeck

The coolest of cool jazz performers who occasionally got tracks in the charts.  “Take Five” was his big hit.

Deep Henderson – Temperance Seven

A bunch of silly poms who loved playing the music of the 20s and 30s … and playing up!

Peanut Vendor – Stan Kenton  Orchestra

Kenton was an innovative big band leader who kept going long after this form of music lost its popular appeal.

Unforgetable Season – Cut Copy

When The Cactus Is In Season – Topp Twins

Only You – The Platters

Yes I See – Bob Gibson

Don’t Kill The Bunney – John Cullum

Blackman Ray – China Crisis

Dora Goes To Town – Andrew Bird’s Bowl Of Fire

Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days Of Summer –Bob Downe

What can you say about Mark Trevorrow’s comic creation aside  from FAB-U-LOUS!!!

Ding-Dong !  The Witch Is Dead -Ella Fitzgerald

Somewhere At The Party – The Inches

Round & Round – Amiel
