In the aftermath of the Royal Wedding TFC humbly offers up a loyal offering to Wills & Catherine.

Amid all the media hubbub I simply ask one question.  Who gave them a toaster ?

###

That Mellow Saxophone – Roy Montell

The Bones Of You –Elbow

Kites – Simon Dupre & The Big Sound

I Hear You Knocking – Dave Edmunds

I Wanna Be Loved byYou – Helen Kane

Taking A Chance On Love – Billy Eckstine

Muscle Addiction – Mike Haboush

A song from “Naked Boys Singing”.

Fairytales About Love – Maja Tatic

A fine example of Eurosonglish, that strange mixture of the English language, bland lyrucs and not very good pronunciation. It is ghastly and glorious at the same time.

Marwurrumburr – Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu

Why Do Fools Fall In Love – Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers

An Turas – Sunrise Not Secular

My Body Is A Cage – Arcade Fire

Robots – Flight Of The Conchords

Banana Boat Song – Stan Freburg

Que Bueno Baila Usted – Ibrahim Ferrer

Little Girl – Vic Damone

Find Me A Primitive Man – Philandros

Sparky & The Magic Train Part 1 – Marvin Miller

“Onceupopna” returns storytelling to radio.  This one is a hoot on so many levels

Great DJ – Ting Tings

Nobody’s Heart – Leontyne Price

Opera singers slumming it. It’s a musically dangerous idea, but Leontyne Price does prety well because she tells the story rather than sings the song.   Here she is in operatic style BUT singing the music of one of the great popular songsmiths of the 20th century.  As TFC keeps on saying, the divisions between musical genres are blurred at best.

Hot Stuff – Donna Summer
