Hosted & posted by Andy “Over It” Bell

Almost winter, so this week’s show concentrated on the warmth that comes from love.

Somehow or other I picked a plethora of romantic and/or sexy songs as well as others dealing with les affaires du coeur.

Am I in the “zone” again at long last ?  Answers on a postcard.

Tonight’s program brought to you by the Droogs.  The nasties from “A Clockwork Orange“.  Not because what they do in that controversial movie is to be celebrated, but because of the revelation that the costumes came about thanks to actor Malcolm McDowell having cricket gear in his car!

On The Way Up – Elisa Forillo

Gotta Give Me What You Want – Julia Lee & Her Boyfriends

I’m The Lonesomest Gal In Town – Ella Fitzgerald

I Wish I Didn’t Love You So – kd lang

You’ve Not Changed – Sandie Shaw

Beautiful Girl – Jimmie Thompson

A song from the film “Singing in the rain”.  But who is the singer ?  Jimmie Thompson starred for three minutes and more on celluloid, but is a bit of a mystery.

Got To Have Your Look – Mantronix

Don’t Know Why – Norah Jones

Hey Look Me Over – Lucille Balle & Paula Stewart

Undecided – Django Reinhardt

Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Honolulu Strand Bikini – Gotz Alsman

Let The Good Times Roll – Ray Charles

Run Freedom Run – Urinetown-The Musical (Cast)

The strangest title for a musical and the show is a belter !  And there’s a local production in the Melbourne suburbs this coming week.

That’s The Way – KC & The Sunshine Band

Depuis L’age De 15 Ans – Courtney Granger

Makin’ Whoopee – Dr John & Rickie Lee Jones

I Only Have Eyes For You – Whirimako Black

One of the most sublime voices coming out of NZ.

Sparky & The Talking Train Part 4

Sports & Wine – Ben Folds Five

How Deep Is The Ocean – Frank Sinatra

This Can’t Be Love – Nat King Cole

Nat was a song stylist of high quality and a pretty fine pianist.  The song is by Rodgers & Hart from the musical “The Boys From Syracuse” and here’s how Nat’s daughter does it.

The lyrics are among the most bitter-sweet ever written.

“This can’t be love because I feel too well.”

“This is too sweet, to be love”

Love Lies Bleeding – Sonic Animation

Eurodisco – Bis
