Hosted & posted by Andy “Handlebar” Bell

Should I ?  Or shouldn’t I ? The big question this week was whether yours truly should forgo the growth and/or goatee and grasp the  folicles and re-introduce the handlebar tache after about 30 years absence. You all cried – YES!!!!!!!

Meanwhile we bade farewell to the Spring Carnival.

These are the days of my lives.

The Bongolian – V.C.O

Great name for a group of musos.  And here they are chanelling Manfred Mann.

Get Down – Gene Chandler

September Song – George Melly & John Chilton’s Feetwarmers

A glorious song by Kurt Weil & Maxwell Anderson from the remarkably entitled “Knickerbocker Holiday”.  It is a powerful reflection of how you age and how your place in the world changes.

It’s also a song that requires musicality, BUT not necessarily a great voice.

Would You Believe It – Huey Smith

Burn The Candle – Shirley Bassey

An early Shirl.

What Do You Do ? – Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band

I Scare Myself – Renee Geyer

A Dandy Line – Chet Baker Ensemble

Taking A Chance On Love – Ethel Walters

Taking A Chance On Love – New York Gay Men’s Chorus

Set Fire To The Forest – Voice Of The 7 Thunders

How Little We Know – Frank Sinatra

Fever – Wally’s Swing World

Back Home – The Shadows

Geraldine – Glasvegas

He’s Funny That Way – Etta James

Never had nothing
No one to care
That’s why I seem to have
More than my share
I’ve got a man crazy for me
He’s funny that way

Aba Daba Honeymoon – Hoagy Carmichael

An extremely silly song that’s even sillier on celluloid.

Applause – Jason Grae

Your Love Belongs Under A Rock – The Dirtbombs

You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To – Julie London

Get Tzatziki With It – Planet J

I Wonder Why – Tony Touch
