Hosted & posted by Andy Bell

The first of a two month run of one hour shows to accommodate EuroSongCountdown 2012 with Hikaru Freeman and yours truly.

And it’s show #201, so a bit of a change in format will certainly keep the flame burning under the saucepan of musical milky chocolate night time drinks.

I Just Want To Celebrate – Rare Earth

Train Of Thought – The Sharp

I Only Have Eyes For You – The Flamingos

Spinner – Portico Quartet

Soldiers Of The Queen – D’Oyly Carte Chorus

The first instalment of “G&S” – Go & Sample. Actually, it’s a not so clever idea to venture somewhere where TFC has NEVER ventured before ! It’s really G&S for Gilbert & Sullivan.  Most people were either in their Savoy Operas or dragged along to watch them while at school. A century and more of from their prime they still are a watchword for good tunes and pithy lyrics.  And don’t forget “Topsy Turvy“.

Hold Me, Hold Me, Hold Me – Blosson Dearie

It’s Not You, It’s Me – The Collectables

Open The Door – Adam Hebert

Help ! – The Beatles

When Your Lover Is Gone – Dorothy Loudon

DL was one of those singers who inhabited her songs fully.  And the older she got the better she got.  There’s a lesson there.

Here she is in her most well remembered Broadway role.

Jack That Cat Was Clean – Dr Horse

What Makes You Beautiful – One Direction
